Helena Ales for Trails is about serving Helena by raising funds for the Helena trail system.

The 2nd Annual Helena Ales for Trails will be held on Friday, May 11th from 5 to 9pm in the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds Entry Hall.

The Montana Brewers Association was created in 2008 and is a statewide association of breweries organized for the purpose of promoting the production and sales of the freshest and highest quality Montana made beers. The MBA is the outgrowth of the earlier Montana State Brewers Association, created in 1997, and the members of the MBA are dedicated to education, public awareness and support for their products, profession, and history while documenting their economic impact and legal responsibilities throughout the state of Montana. The MBA members are committed to actively supporting and interacting within their respective communities as permissible under Montana law.

The Lost & Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up primarily of musicians volunteering their time, talent, and effort to help those in need. Founded in 1995, the mission of the Lost & Foundation is "To raise and distribute financial resources for public benefit through the power of music." Twice each year, The Lost & Foundation organizes benefit concerts featuring many of the areas best and most talented musicians to help a community cause. Generally, this is an individual or family who is faced with a dire need due to illness, catastrophe or other financially debilitating situation. The Lost & Foundation has raised and given away over $290,000 through its more than 24 major events and other efforts.

Besides raising funds through our benefits, the Lost & Foundation also provides guidance, use of materials and financial management assistance to other groups who independently organize benefits for worthy causes.

The Lost & Foundation is led by its board and supported by literally hundreds of volunteers, area businesses, musicians, artists, and people like YOU!

Milk stout, also known as cream stout or sweet stout, is a style of stout that is sweeter and less bitter than any other style of stout.  It’s called milk stout because it is brewed with lactose, which is milk sugar.  The lactose adds a certain creaminess to the body with a touch of sweetness.

The aroma is exactly what you’d expect from a stout, roasted dark malts with coffee and toffee notes.  This is a full-bodied beer that is rich, creamy and malty.  The flavor is slightly sweet due to the use of lactose, which is un-fermentable, and the low level of hop bitterness.  The roasted character of the dark malts blends wonderfully with the rich body and sweetness to create this satisfying milk stout.

The Association meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 pm, usually at the library, and we welcome all to join our group. We have repaired many damaged and vandalized grave markers, and this work continues. We maintain the grounds in keeping with a pioneer cemetery. We have installed a drip system, and have planted trees along the original wagon road. We have established an endowment which, when fully funded, will assure a permanent source of income for the cemetery. To raise funds, we have held "Tales from Underground," a series of skits featuring re-enactments of some of the cemetery's inhabitants.
