Black IPA
This single batch specialty Black India Pale Ale is brewed much like a traditional IPA except with the addition of de-bittered, black roasted specialty malt. To give this beer its bitterness level and hop profile, we used 3 different hop varieties throughout the brewing process: Mosiac, Simcoe and Chinook. Obviously black in color, the aroma is of citrus, piney, and spicy hops with a hint of dark malt. The medium body starts off with touch of malty sweetness, then the big hoppy flavor and bitterness comes through. The unique roasty finish lets you know you are indeed drinking a Black IPA.
