English Barleywine- Wine Barrel Aged

English Barleywines are more malt focused and less bitter and hoppy than American Barleywines.  Blackfoot’s English style Barleywine is no exception.  It is light amber in color with a big, intense, and complex malty aroma.  Five months of aging in French oak red wine barrels added complementary characters of wine, dark cherries and a hint of oak.  It is very smooth and balanced for being 10.8% ABV!
