Imperial IPA
This big, hoppy and malty Imperial IPA was brewed on Leap Day, 2012, from Montana-grown 2-row Metcalfe malted barley and British specialty malts. It is hopped with 48 lbs of Magnum and Cascade hops (that’s 6 lbs per barrel!). While this beer has a higher bitterness rating than any we have made before, it still comes across malty due to the large malt bill that was necessary in order to achieve a 10.2% ABV beer. This beer’s maltiness, hop bitterness, and floral hop character all blend together to make a very rich, luscious presentation. Take a Leap and Enjoy!
